Sub-project 2.2 (Wisdom Literature - Demotic Texts)
Robert Kade works on the Great Demotic Wisdom Book and analyses its diachronic theological development, as it is visible in its diverse manuscripts. The results will provide an example of redaction history that is based on material evidence. This means a significant step towards a better understanding of the possible developments in biblical wisdom texts, such as the book of Proverbs or the general train of thought from Proverbs to Job and Ecclesiastes.
